The last part of the locality description "Cerca de 45 km ao S de Itabuna" was too vague to convey much valuable information about the true location of collection; there is no indication of road miles vs. air miles, or where to from Itabuna this distance is being measured (i.e. the location of collection itself, or the road leading to it). For these reasons, the other more specific directions given in this locality description were used to formulate this georeference. Georeferenced to 17 km along road BA-669, which links Sao José to the city of Una, in Mun. Una, Bahia. Using Google Maps - Satellite View, located BA-669. Beginning at the genesis of BA-669 at its intersection with BR-101 near Sao José (-15.0708881 -39.3317628), used Distance Measurement Tool (Google Maps) to measure approximately 17 km (17000.3 m) along BA-669 towards the city of Una. Used Canadensys Lat/Long Crosshairs to find coordinates for the offset. Used Distance Measurement Tool (Google Maps) again to find the linear extent of the starting location of the offset, the intersection of BA-669 and BR-101, by measuring from the starting coordinates new the approximate geographic center of the intersection to the farthest extent of the intersection. Input coordinates, linear extent (17.6142 m), measurement error (0.0001 m), and distance precision (100 m) into the MaNIS Georeferencing Calculator to find the uncertainty radius.
