Deep, steep-sided Yungas valley beside river, the sides with moist, disturbed cloud forest merging into rough grassland higher up. One plant in scrub on moist slopes of river gorge. Small shrub to 3 m. Leaves shiny green above, whitish beneath. Undersurface of leaves and inflorescence covered in soft brown hairs. Corolla pale pink. J.R.L Wood & R.M.
