and high forest on sand with open wet areas.

Erect herb to 1.2 m. Leaves mid-green5glossy
below. Flowering axis orange with bracts
orange at base with bright scarlet tips,
becoming paler and greenish at base in fruit
and bright pink above. Flower and ovary
orange with blackish anthers. Fruit with
white pedicel and creamy yellow ovary.
