SE of Big Reed Pond off brown trail, not far from Joe Bietel
memorial rock. This is the only patch discovered in Montauk
County Park. Norman Taylor mentions this curiosity in 1923.
Grouping covers perhaps V4 acre, individuals -30-40’ tall, saplings
as well.
