PLANTS OF ECUADOR <Melastomataceae> Blakea det. DSP, 25 May 2005 Prov. Morona-Santiago: 22.3 km below the highest pass towards Limon on Gualaceo-Limon road. Elev. 2400 m. Hemiepiphyte. Pedicels flattened, lenticellate. Outer floral bracts 13.75 mm long, free, appressed against hypanthium to calyx, then perpendicular, about twice as long as inner floral bracts, with browinsh hairs in median line. Inner floral bracts green, free, 5.25 x 4.38 mm, closely appressed to hypanthium. Calyx green, reddish distally. Petals creamy-yellow. In bud, anthers 4.27 mm long, pores dorsally inclined, dorsal tooth 0.47 mm long. Ovary 1/5 inferior. Lat. 03°00,36"S Long. 78°34'00"W . coll. Darin S.
