Description
Pileus 6-7 cm broad, plano-convex to plane, matted subtomentose, light brown (6D8,7) with scattered reddish blushes, NH4 (-) on pileus, yellow on blue flesh. Flesh 4-10 mm thick, yellow, instantly cyanescent. Tubes adnate with a subdecurrent tooth to adnexed, xerocomoid, wax yellow (3B5), cyanescent instantly; pores up to 1 mm broad, concolorous, instantly cyanescent. Stipe 5-6 cm long, 8-11 mm broad, tapering downward, dry, curved, yellow at apex, red below, cyanescent, pruinose to finely matted fibrillose, with white basal mycelium; interior pale yellow, instantly cyanescent.
