trail was followed 6 km into the forest Gradually farmland and secondary forest
was replaced with primary forest Irregular topography. Many epiphytes and lianas
(78° 54' W 00° 48' N) Alt 100 m.	25 Jun 1982
Tree, 12 m tall. Corollo white on upper part, red on the lower part. Sepals red.
Nom. Vem.: Quinllullo (Cayapa); Use: The flowers are eaten. They are said to be
neither sour nor sweet; they are eaten as vitamins.
