J.Luteyn (NY), April 1997 Province: ElOro Chilla, 7 km up dirt road to the Antennas. 3000 m 79° 36'243"W; 3°27'964"S 4 October 1996 Vegetation: grass paramo with pockets of shrubs. Shrub to 2 m; leaves coriaceous, mid-yellowish green, slightly glossy above, paler and dull below, calyces green with a purplish tinge, corollas waxy-fleshy, pinkish red with pale pink lobes.
