Recently burned over area of rugged lava flow (ca.
2000 years old or less) with stunted, open stand of
Pinus pseudostrobus, Lyonia squamosa, Clethra mexicana.
The surrounding areas on developed soils have BOSQUE
CADUCIFOLIO.
Shrub 2 m. tall. Flowers hanging; flowers white.
