Common Name None known for island.
Description Tree with opposite leaves. Plant exudes white sap when cut.
Flowers are male and were already dried up when specimen was
collected.
Location/Habitat Midway between Old Bight and Greenwood, along a trail that runs east of
the Old Farm Rd. Trail runs to the Atlantic coast. Found in back in a tall
dry evergreen forest area that has big banana holes and cultivated bananas
and papayas (pawpaws).

Uses/Comments This was the only place I saw this plant on the island. Not previously
listed as occurring on Cat Island (Correll & Correll, 1982).
