Floodplain (bottomland) forest with some openings,
also including old river oxbow, now ponds / sloughs.
Forest dominated by Acer saccharinum,
Chasmanthium latifolium. Infrequent tree about 30 - 40
feet tall; fruits white, red then black; edible, sweet.
Margin of roadfill.
