27° 5.589' N: 82° 20.081' W (coordinates from hand-held GPS;
accurate to within a radius of about 50 m)
Upland pine flatwoods with scattered Pinus elliotti and
Quercus virginiana, shrub layer dominated by Serenoa repens *
with Quercus spp. (see Atha et al. 2499,2500,2504 for oak
specimens), Lyonia and Vaccinium spp (including V.
stamineum (Atha et al. 2502) and V. corymbosum (Atha et al:
2501). Area periodically burned.
Shrub 0.5 meters tall; corolla white, stamens exserted.
