rocks and beneath open stands of Abies lasiocarpa/
Menziesia ferruginea and Xerophyllum tenax h.t.;
6080 ft.; very common with Penstemon fruticosus var.
scouleri, Arctostaphylos uva-ursi, Juniperus
communis var. montana, Pachistima myrsinites,
Aspidotis densa, Woodsia scopulina, Rubus idaeus
var. gracilipes and Saxifraga bronchialis var.
austromontana.
