On steep, east-facing, mesic, hardwood slope
overlooking floodplain along the Savannah River.
Site #4 (Lat. 34°03f34"; Long. 82°37,40,,^B about 0.5
mile south of the Ga. 72 bridge over the Savannah
River. Below the 475-ft. contour (full pool for
proposed Russell Lake). Area to be impounded in the
mid-1980,s by the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers.
