Frequent in thin loamy sand by trail on gentle, wooded slope above small stream (Rock Creek drainage) just £ of main park road and NE of entrance. Lat. 30.567836 N, Long. 84.94630 W. Flowers very pale yellowish-white, dorsal petal with basal yellow spot; petioles glandular pubescent—unlikely a hybrid with R. canescens which lacks these features and blooms much earlier (!
