Hypanthium light green with light brown silky hairs; corolla white, patent, in the bud yellow- tipped. Style and filaments light green? anthers pale blue or lilac with pinkish thecae. Stamens upcurved, style decurved, quite outside the filaments. FLORA SURINAMENSIS ex Herb. Acad. Rheno-Trai. Henriettea succosa (Aublet) DC. (x H. maroniensis £agot ?) Hab. : Kappel-savanna prope pedem australem montis Tafelberg (distr.Saramacca). Alt. ca4 300m, Shrub savanna with sandstone outcroppings in the n.part. Ä small tree, ca. 4 - 6 m; bark wine-coloured.
