Roadside through pastureland in disturbed montane forest. Locally common.

Description
Shrub to 1.5 m tall. Leaves dark green above, nitid, bullate. Pedicels and calyx dark red covered in ferriginous hairs. Corolla bright red. Mature calyx dark maroon.
