    Mesic riparian forest with old growth (dead) Tsuga canadensis, Liriodendron tulipfera, Acer saccharum, and an understory of Rhododendron maximum, Hamamelis virginiana, and Leucothoe racemosa. Foliicolous on Rhododendron leaves.
