Lago Caiman; a "bahia" which receives water from the
Rio Itenez during the rainy season, and is isolated
during the dry season. Elev: 200 meters. Center of
the collecting area ca. 13°35'23"S. 60°55'20"W.
Shrub. Very common. Usually
observed in small, localized
populations. Flowers magenta.
Fruits present. Habitat: a floating
mat of aquatic vegetation
dominated by Eleocharis acutangula.
Abundant lianas present.
