Rhynchanthera novemnervia (Martius) DC. Melastomataceae Ritter 4326 Determined by: N. Ritter (NHA), 1998 Flora of Bolivia Family: Melastomataceae Rhynchanthera Department of Santa Cruz Province of Velasco Lago Caiman; a "bahia" which receives water from the Rio Itenez during the rainy season, and is isolated during the dry season. Elev: 200 meters. Center of the collecting area ca. 13°35'23"S. 60°55'20"W. Shrub. Very common. Usually observed in small, localized populations. Flowers magenta. Fruits present. Habitat: a floating mat of aquatic vegetation dominated by Eleocharis acutangula. Abundant lianas present. 6/25/98 Collected by: N. Ritter, G. E. Crow , M. Garvizu and P. Soliz. #4326 02514338
