THE NEW YORK BOTANICAL BARDEN *1 PLANTS QF PERU Cavendishia martii (Meissn.) A. C. Smith Peru: Dept. Ayacucho: 64-65 kms NNE of Tambo, and 6-8 kms SW of Ayna. Secondary growth along roadside slopes. Elev. 1675-1770 m. Terrestrial, scandent shrub with branches to 3 m long; floral bracts green suffused with red, caducous; calyx green, lobes reddish-margined; corolla green becoming yellowish-green at apex; corolla lobes becoming red tinged within in late anthesis.
