Drawing-note attached to sheet: "Type Pennell 9306. This is from a "reconstructed" flower. There were only 2- 1 (a bud) dissected by A.C.S. the other slightly abnormal (6-sepal lobes) but the two fruit & bud had 5 stamens essentially isomorphic. Disc globous." W.A.C. (?) 5/13/36
