Motes Pedicels pale pink or flushed deeper
pink in iipper half. Calyx rich shiny red
Corolla rich shiny red at base distal
quarter white the lobes reflexed horizont-
ally or beyond, stigma just protruding
from the flower. Bracts bright pink,
quiCKly falling, the young leaves also
bright red. Abundant shrub to 12Qcms high.
Fruit ripening through dark purple to shiny
black. Immature fruit from a very young
stage red.
