Epiphytic shrub with branches 2.0 - 3.0 m long;
leaves dark green above, nitid; floral bracts
greenish but heavily suffused with rose-red; calyx
green, lobes tinged with pink; corolla deep rose-
red lower 3/4, pure white upper 1/4. Common.
Fruits green turning dark blue-black.
