Flowers with tubular, pink 6- parted oalyx, single stigma, pink and white striped corolla whieh is tubular and 6-toothed, 12 anthers attached at base of corolla. Inferior ovary. Many flowers are clustered among large showy sterile pink petallike things, fringed to give appearance of rose, Darien, along Carretera Campo Alegre, 1600 m alt.
