Steep slopes with forest remnants, open areas with bog-like vegetation, and secondary growth.

Description
Growing out of thicket at edge of road. Flower bracts pink. Pedicels and ovary pink. Corolla bright pink-red with a white apex. Fruits pink becoming pale green.
