Venezuela. Amazonas. Río Negro Mun. Neblina Massif, Camp II, 2.8 km NE of Pico Phelps (= Neblina).

Habitat
On plateau. Montane bog covered with grasses, ferns, pitcher plants, orchids, mosses and low scattered shrubs to 1.5 m. tall, surrounded by and interspersed with thickets and dwarf forest including palms. Very wet conditions from high rainfall and frequent mists.

Description
Shrub, erect, 2-2.5 m tall. Flowers deep pink.
