Description
Pileus dry, subvelutinous, dark brown to purple brown, often with a beveled margin. Tubes white at first becoming vinaceous, staining brown, Flesh white, with mild odor and bitter taste. Stipe sometimes reticulate at the apex, with white basal mycelium.
