Pride of India, Umbrella Tree
Willowy tree with odd pinnately compound leaves. All specimens
with yellow drupaceous fruits. Duplicate # 1 with flowers that are
lavender and white. Diplicate #2 with flower buds.
Wemyss settlement, located in the yard of the house, next to Cybil's
house. Disturbed yard.

This plant was not listed as occuring on Long Island (Correll & Correll.
1982). Limbs of the plant are taken and boiled in water, the resulting
decoction is taken for fever, flu, colds, and coughs.
