"Baixo" (low terraces possibly flooded occasionally by overflowing streams, with semi-closed canopy including Hura, Moraceae, trunked palms, Sterculia, Eschweilera; understory with Marantaceae and Araceae); and surrounding slopes (with Averrhoidium, Couroupita, Moraceae, Annonaceae, Pouteria).

Description
terrestrial herb. Terrestrial herb, leaf upper surface variegated green and pale green, underside rose and whitish rose, inflorescence bracts dark green, flowers white except perianth tinged with blue distally. On forested slope. above "baixo." Photo. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
