Venezuela. Aragua. "Henri Pittier" National Park. Pico Guacamaya, ridge extending E from peak, N-facing slope.

Habitat
Above cloud forest. Not dense, canopy open, 6-12 m high with emergents to 20 m.; Slope inclination 17-44°. Few low herbs, Neurolepis pittieri long ridge, tree ferns and palms (Catoblastus prae-morsus) dominating the understorey, mosses, and epiphytes abundant. Common. Poorly developed friable soil with peaty humic topsoil.

Description
Tree. Leaves smooth both sides, bulbate, mid-green, 5-veined. Raceme with immature green fruit, calyxes persisting. Phenology of specimen: Fertile.
