NEW YORK, SUFFOLK CO.: Huntington Station, in the Paumonek
Wetland, west of Walt Whitman High School. At the top of a gentle
slope. 2 suckering medium sized shrubs. Leaves stiffly feltie to
the touch. Fruit red. Growing in an Oak-Hickory Mesic
Woodland with Lindera benzoin, Acer platanoides, Fraxinus,
Persicaria virginana and Cary a.
