Belize. Stann Creek. Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary, 2km E of visitors centre, along access road just inside reserve.

Habitat
South-facing roadside, in tropical evergreen, lowland, seasonal, broadleaf forest: Yucatan variant, frequently cut back and disturbed. Growing in association with Leandra mexicana, Clidemia capitellata, Clidemia hirta, Arthrostemma ciliatum & Clidemia dentata. Frequent herb. Red clay-based soil in floodplain of tributary to South Stann Creek, granite bedrock with occasional limestone pockets.

Description
Up to 50cm, white flowers with deep pink anthers. Phenology of specimen: Fertile.
