  • Description

    Pileus 3.5-5 cm broad, plano-convex, dry, finely subvelutinous to subtomentose becoming finely areolate, grayish brown to brown (6E4, 7E5), with a barely perceptible slightly projecting sterile margin. Flesh white, unchanging, with mild odor an taste. Tubes adnexed, vinaceous pink, with pores pale brown when bruised. Stipe 3-4 cm long, 4-5 mm broad, equal, strict or curved, dry, finely reticulate, with reticulum meshes broadly spaced, dark gray brown to brown to dark brown, white(?) at base, with interior whitish with a pale pink flush.
