Description
Pileus 4.5 cm broad, plano-convex, dry, with black, fine pyramidal scales, with sterile projecting marginal veil remnants. Flesh white, changing to black with only a slight hint of pale orangish red before, with mild odor and taste. Tubes adnexed, pale gray, reddish orange before changing to black with pores likewise. Stipe 10 cm long, 1.3 cm broad, equal, dry, coarsely alveolate-reticulate from apex to near base, pale grayish above, black below with some scattered, black, floccose to lanose veil remnants, white in between the alveolae, with interior white, becoming black on exposure, pale gray at base.
