Guyana. Cuyuni-Mazaruni. On top of 1st escarpment (of four) of Kamakusa Mt., within 0.5 mi. of Full Moon (6th) Camp.

Habitat
Tepui forest (to 40m tall) on south-facing slope; 3-tiered. Diverse forest. Myristicaceae, Lauraceae, Swartzia, Annonaceae, Inga, Dichapetalaceae; subcanopy rich in melastomes and palms. Thin layer of brown humus over white sandstone.

Epiphytic herb. Leaves fleshy. Corolla white in bud, capsule red. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
