Antarctic beech forest. Nothofagus fusca, N menziesii. Hypogeous and gregarious. In soil/humus.

Description
Up to 5 cm broad, globose to irregular in outline, sometimes flattened and convoluted. White with deep blue stains, Gleba white at first, becoming chocolate brown with maturity, moist and gel-gilled, with small white sterile base, with white rhizoids attached.
