Mid elevation montane forest. Quercus oocarpa. Scattered. On soil.

Description
Pileus 11 cm broad, dry, convex, tomentose, (7F8) on the disc, (6D5) toward the margin. Flesh pale yellow, changing to blue when exposed, eventually white, up to 2 cm thick. Tubes yellow, bluing when exposed, 1 cm deep, depressed around the stipe; pores garnet brown, bluing when bruised, <1 mm broad. Stipe 10 cm long, 15 mm broad, equal and curved, dry, yellow and faintly subpruinose above, pruinose to rhubarb red to brown at stipe base; interior solid, yellow, bluing when exposed, eventually white. Scattered. Phenology of specimen: Basidiomata.
