    Georeferencing Quick Reference Guide, Version 2012. Georeferenced to the approximate geographic center of Lago Verde in Alter do Chão, Pará. Using Google Maps - Satellite View, located Lago Verde. Used Distance Measurement Tool (Google Maps) to measure the total extent of the lake, then halved this distance to approximate the location of the geographic center of the lake. Used Canadensys Lat/Long Crosshairs to find the coordinates of the geographic center of the lake, on the adjacent land (beach). Used Distance Measurement Tool (Google Maps) again to find linear extent by measuring from the selected coordinates to the farthest extent of the lake. Used linear extent as the uncertainty radius.
