Description
Pileus: 17 mm, convex, densely matted subtomentose, black. Context white, staining bright crimson, becoming black. Odor and taste mild.Stipe: 23 x 7 mm, equal, solid, densely matted subtomentose, black; tomentum breaking into small scabers over apical portion. Context white, staining red; becoming black.Hymenophore: Poroid, adnate; pores 3 per mm, round, elliptical, or rounded-irregular; light gray, staining dark brown; tubes cream-colored, staining red.Macrochemical Reaction: Pileal context bright yellow in NH4OH; pileipellis and stipitipellis negative.
