  • Description

    Pileus 3.5-5 cm broad, dry, black with some hints of lavender/lilac, matted to matted subtomentose, becoming brown with some black areas with age. Flesh white, unchanging, with mild taste. Tubes adnexed, whitish at first, then vinaceous pink, unchanging, with pores likewise. Stipe 5-6 cm long, 1.3-1.4 cm broad, subclavate to subequal, dry, finely subpruinose, with some low, obscure ridges, white above, tan to pale brown below, hints of lilac soon disappearing, whitish at base, with interior as in pileus.
