  • Description

    Pileus 2-8 cm broad, convex to plano-convex, dry, finely subtomentose, cinnamon brown (6D6) fading to a pale brownish orange (5D3), with even margin. Flesh white, unchanging, with pungent non-idiosyncratic odor, and slightly bitter taste. Tubes adnexed, white at first and shallow, becoming tan, with pores staining slightly a pale brown. Stipe 3-5 cm long, 2-3 cm broad, equal to subequal, sometimes tapered at base, dry, very finely subtomentose (lens), not reticulate, pale orange brown to cinnamon brown and somewhat streaked, pale ochraceous at base, with interior white, unchanging, and a rare caesious green in one at base.
