Description
Pileus 74 mm, convex becoming plane with uplifted, undulating margin; matted subtomentose, with pileipellis breaking into small clusters as pileus ages and expands; dark brown to black. Could not describe context due to insect damage. Lamellae bright yellow, staining blue; decurrent; broad, thin, crowded; edges becoming dark brown in age. Stipe 56 x 12 mm, white to light brown, with darker brown fibrils; equal, +/- centrally attached. Basal tomentum dense, white. NH4OH: stipe turns pale yellow; lamellae negative.
