  • Habitat

    Forest on gently undulating terrain, alternating between (1) dense forest with strong presence (but not dominance) of Guadua sarcocarpa that died back 22 years ago, and (2) "baixio" (forest in low-lying area with waterlogged soils). Rare.

  • Description

    stipitate palm. Stiped palm 1.5 m, fruits turning black. Only two individuals seen in understory of upland forest. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
