Georeferencing Method
Georeferencing Quick Reference Guide, Version 2012. Georeferenced to the approximate midpoint of the road which connects the city of Monte Dourado and the plateau of Monte Dourado (mountain) in Para, BR. Toggling between Google Maps - Satellite View and Terrain View, located the geographic center of the city of Monte Dourado along Rio Jarí and the approximate geographic center of the plateau of the mountain, which sits to the west of the city. Located the unnamed road which connects the two sites. Used Distance Measurement Tool to measure a straight line between where this road meets the approximate geographic center of the city of Monte Dourado to the approximate geographic center of the plateau of the mountain; halved this distance to approximate the midpoint of the road. Used Canadensys Lat/Long Crosshairs to find the coordinates of the midpoint. Input coordinates, linear extent (the distance from the midpoint to the farthest extent of the segment of the road, 3581.15 m.), and measurement error (.01 m.) into the MaNIS Georeferencing Calculator to find the uncertainty radius (according to the Georeferencing Quick Reference Guide, Named Place: River, stream, road, path).
