Open savanna dominated by sedges and grasses. Forest islands dominated by Pentaclethra, Mauritia islands, and gallery forest along creek. All on grey bauxitic or mixed lateritic-bauxitic sands.

Shrub. Shrub 1.5 m; branchlets, abaxial leaf surface and infruct. tawny tomentose; fruit green. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
