Description
Pileus 8 cm broad, plane, dry, with fine appressed squamulose dark brown scales. Flesh white, soon black to dark gray, with some hints of pale red showing only near stipe base. Tubes deeply depressed, dark brown to dark grayish brown, staining black. Stipe 8 cm x 1.1 cm, equal, curved, dry, subalveolate reticulate to coarsely reticulate, pale pinkish brown, more brownish below and more matted, with some hints of pale pinkish buff at base among the sand (hard to see).
