forest. Elev. 2100 m.
Terrestrial shrub with branches arching to 3 m;
rhachis green heavily suffused with purple; floral
bracts & bracteoles greenish-white; pedicels, calyx
& lower 3/4 of corolla orangish-red, upper 1/4 of
corolla white; immature fruits green. Infrequent.
