*• type' with tall (up to 14 m), stout, unbranched culms round in transcction, «nrf with long and wide leaf-blades which often droop at their tips.
2.	‘small type0 with shorter (< 10 m), mom slender and frequently branching culms which are oval in transection near the summit, with a patch of trichomea on the ahealh below the leaf-blade, and with rigid, often caulescent leaf-blades,
