steep roadside slopes through cloud forest. locally common.

Description
terrestrial shrub with branches to 1.5 m long. rachis and pedicels green heavily suffused with pink; calyx and lo- wer 1/2 of corolla pink at anthesis, upper 1/2 of corolla white, berry turning purple.
