On the bedding of a small rooi, beside the trail to the top of the mountain. Moist soil, partly shaded by the hills and other trees. Knip formation soil.
Tree, up to 8 m high. Stem strongly twisted at the base, brown with greyish spots, ca. 25 cm in diameter. Twigs brown with some white. Leaves dark green above with distinct light green veins, lower side paler; petioles light yellowish green.
